This is my blog about my cancer journey. From diagnosis (in less than six hours) to how I’ve set wee goals in order to achieve my big, long term goal of becoming cancer free.
I’m 44 years old and live and work in Edinburgh. I’m a lover of good food & wine, love to travel with my wonderful husband Steve, and enjoy nothing more than putting the world to rights with my pals.
I was diagnosed in September 2015 with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and following 4 battering rounds of chemotherapy I received a new chance at life in the form of a stem cell transplant from an 18 year old British man on 19 February 2016.
This is the story of my journey. I hope that this blog helps widen the understanding of blood cancers, their treatment and what we can all do to help save a life.
